Penn State Altoona faculty analyze a Spanish horror classic
Penn State Altoona faculty members Brian Onishi, associate professor of philosophy, and Jeff Stoyanoff, assistant professor of English and women's, gender and sexuality studies, released a new episode of their "Horror Joy" podcast, titled "Horror Nostalgia: The Rack with Tom Deady and 'Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.'"

ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona faculty members Brian Onishi, associate professor of philosophy, and Jeff Stoyanoff, assistant professor of English and of women's, gender and sexuality studies, have released a new episode of their "Horror Joy" podcast.
In their latest episode, the hosts continue their deep dive into found footage horror by investigating the 2007 Spanish film "[REC]," directed by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza. The conversation explores the film's claustrophobic terror, its political nature and its effectiveness as a groundbreaking entry in the found footage genre.
