Portland, ME - The MEMIC Group, the third-largest multi-state workers' compensation specialist in the United States, has added Megan Vernon and Nikko Severson to its Loss Control team, further strengthening its commitment to helping create safer workplaces and prevent injuries.

Megan Vernon Combines Safety, Technology, and Risk Management Expertise

Vernon rejoins MEMIC as a Loss Control Consultant serving Maine policyholders and brings six years of experience in workplace safety and risk management. She later served as a Health and Safety Content Specialist focused on digital safety management, as well as an Operations Specialist.

Her experience across the insurance and technology sectors has given her a practical, collaborative approach to identifying workplace risks, strengthening safety practices, and supporting operational excellence.

"We are excited to welcome Megan Vernon to our team," said Alexis Flink, Loss Control Manager. "Her experience across workplace safety, insurance, and safety technology brings valuable perspective that aligns well with the many industries and workforces we support every day. Megan understands the impact workplace injuries can have on employers and their employees, and she is deeply committed to helping organizations create safer, healthier workplaces. We are thrilled to have her on our team."

Vernon earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Southern Maine and holds the Workers' Compensation Professional (WCP®) designation.

"I believe workplace safety is about more than preventing injuries. It's about protecting people, supporting businesses, and fostering a culture where everyone shares responsibility for safety," said Vernon. "I'm excited to join MEMIC and contribute to a mission that aligns so closely with my values."
