Washington, D.C. - TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of tech CEOs and senior executives, today announced that Josh Silverman, Chief Executive Officer of Etsy, has joined TechNet's Executive Council for a two-year term.
Silverman brings more than two decades of leadership experience growing global marketplaces and consumer technology companies. As CEO of Etsy, he leads one of the world's most vibrant platforms for creative entrepreneurs and serves on the company's board of directors. In January 2026, Josh will transition from CEO to Executive Chairman of Etsy.

About Josh Silverman
Josh Silverman is Etsy's Chief Executive Officer, leading the company as it builds a platform that empowers creative entrepreneurs around the world. He also serves on Etsy's board of directors. Silverman previously served as President of Consumer Products and Services at American Express, CEO of Skype, and CEO of shopping.com, and he held various executive roles at eBay. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Evite, Inc. and served as the company's CEO.
Silverman currently serves on the boards of Shake Shack and Instacart. He is also a member of the Stanford Business School Management Board and previously sat on the board of the Lincoln Center Theater.
