Honors College Film Fest brings ‘New Wave’ style to Liberty Hall
UT Tyler, in collaboration with the Tyler Film Festival, will present the UT Tyler Honors College Film Festival on Friday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. at Liberty Hall.
The festival features original short films created by sophomore Honors College students, each crafted in just one month. Students were challenged to draw inspiration from the 1960s Czechoslovakian "New Wave," pushing them to explore themes of unfamiliarity, creative risk-taking, and what it means to be "lost" in a foreign time and place. Their films offer imaginative responses to the unexpected and lesser-known elements of the era.
Attendees can expect a night of inventive storytelling and an opportunity to support emerging talent from the UT Tyler Honors College.
