Tire Amnesty Days for Brevard County Residents

Brevard County residents have the opportunity to dispose of old tires in an environmentally friendly way and help reduce mosquito breeding grounds and the spread of mosquito-borne diseases. Brevard County Mosquito Control, in partnership with Brevard County Solid Waste Management, the Florida Department of Health in Brevard, and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, is hosting Tire Amnesty Days on April 16, 17 and 18. Tires can be dropped off between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. at either of the following locations:

  • North Area Mosquito Control Facility-800 Perimeter Road, Titusville
  • South Area Mosquito Control Facility-3 Pilots' Place, Valkaria

This free opportunity is only for Brevard County residents and a valid driver's license is required as proof of residency. Participants may drop off up to 24 tires per household, without rims. Please note that commercial businesses are not eligible to participate.

Proper disposal of old tires is a crucial step in preventing mosquito breeding, as stagnant water in discarded tires creates an ideal environment for mosquito larvae. By participating in this event, residents can help protect their community from mosquito-borne diseases and contribute to a healthier environment.
