This is with reference to our notice number 20250918-2 regarding "Updation of correct and valid FATCA/CRS information".

We have received communication from Registrar & Transfer Agents (RTAs) that validations will be applicable to all tax categories where the client had declared that country of tax residency is other than India & TIN provided by the clients must adhere to the standard of TIN format specified for each country (Refer Annexure I).<_o3a_p>

Revised TIN Master as received from RTA is attached as Annexure II. In case TIN is not available/applicable in any country then client needs to select the appropriate revised document ID type.<_o3a_p>

Members are hereby informed that existing document ID type shall get removed & revised document ID type provided by RTAs as per Annexure II will get activated on BSE StAR MF platform with effect from October 07, 2025.<_o3a_p>

All the members using third party vendor solutions and/or in-house developed trading application are hereby requested to take note of the above and arrange to initiate necessary development at their end.<_o3a_p>
