NYFB President David Fisher:
"New York Farm Bureau appreciates Governor Hochul's support of agriculture in the State Budget. We are particularly pleased that the budget includes the extension of the refundability of the Investment Tax Credit to 2033; an increase of $5 million in funding for the Dairy Farm Modernization Grant, Farm, and Food Growth Fund; the inclusion of $30 million to aid eligible farm operations that have been financially affected by tariffs; and a $400,000 increase for NY FarmNet to provide much-needed mental health support for those in the agriculture field.
"We will continue to work with Governor Hochul and members of the legislature to ensure critical funding for agriculture is included in the final budget, as well as funding for Cornell University's essential land grant program."
