Ascension Providence Becomes First Hospital in Waco to Perform Advanced TAMBE Procedure

Ascension Providence is proud to announce the successful completion of the first Thoracoabdominal Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair (TAMBE) in Waco. With this milestone procedure, performed by Dr. Mark Davies and assisted by Dr. Bradley Trinidad, Ascension Providence continues to expand and enhance its renowned vascular care and its legacy as a regional cardiovascular leader.

The TAMBE procedure is a specialized, minimally invasive technique designed to treat complex aortic aneurysms that involve all the vital arteries branching off to the kidneys and intestines. By using custom-designed, fenestrated (holed) stent grafts, surgeons can seal off dangerous aneurysms while preserving critical blood flow to essential organs, a feat that often required much more invasive open surgery in the past.
