UAA runners honored for academics

Portland, Oregon. - The University of Alaska Anchorage had 13 cross country student-athletes earn Great Northwest Athletic Conference academic all-conference honors presented by Barnes & Noble College for the 2025 fall season.

The Seawolves had five women earn the award: Lilli Lindner (mechanical engineering, 4.0 GPA), Alexandra Otto (international studies, 4.00 GPA), Delaney Draeger (legal studies, 3.88 GPA), Ryann Smith (kinesiology, 3.65 GPA) and Avery Williamson (journalism, 3.83 GPA).

The Seawolves had eight men earn the award: Samuel Roy (civil engineering, 3.87 GPA), John Peckham (MBA, 3.85 GPA), Ty Elliott (psychology, 3.63 GPA), Stephen Zukowski (management/marketing, 3.56 GPA), Anthony Porter (mechanical engineering, 3.50 GPA), Ries Tveit (mechanical engineering, 3.39 GPA) Edgar Vera (kinesiology, 3.36 GPA) and Julio Ramirez (kinesiology, 3.33 GPA).

To qualify for academic all-conference, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20, must be in at least their second season competing for their team and must have competed on the course during the 2025 campaign.
