UPDATE: Water Main Break Reported on North Case Avenue
Due to the Water Main break that was reported earlier this morning, the Public Works crews will need to shut down the water to the majority of the downtown area from CASE Avenue throughout DOWNTOWN starting at 1pm today. The repairs are anticipated to take between 3 and 4 hours.
The Public Works crews are working diligently to make the repair as quickly as possible.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area whenever possible. Reducing traffic through the work zone will help protect crews and allow repairs to be completed more quickly.
The City and Borough of Wrangell appreciates the public's patience and cooperation while crews complete this critical repair.
