President John Dramani Mahama on Monday received the letters of credence of seven new envoys at the Banquet Hall of the Presidency, marking the official commencement of their diplomatic missions to Ghana.

The new envoys include:
1. H.E. Ronald Micallef, High Commissioner of the Republic of Malta
2. H.E. Andrei Ordash, Ambassador of the Russian Federation
3. H.E. Michal Cygan, Ambassador of Poland
4. H.E. Bambang Suharto, Ambassador of Indonesia
5. H.E. Isbeth Lisbeth Quiel Murcia, Ambassador of Panama
6. H.E. Armen Sargsyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia
7. H.E. Selestine Gervas Kakele, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania

Welcoming the diplomats, President Mahama reaffirmed Ghana's commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and fostering economic partnerships that deliver mutual benefits. He outlined the government's 24-Hour Economy initiative and its role in the country's broader economic transformation.

"Ghana is currently pursuing a bold programme of economic transformation aimed at creating sustainable jobs and building a resilient economy," the President stated. "Our focus remains on agricultural modernisation, industrialisation, digital transformation, and energy sector reforms."

Citing recent positive assessments from international rating agencies and Bretton Woods institutions, President Mahama invited the global business community to explore opportunities in Ghana's manufacturing, mining, technology, and tourism sectors.

He further reminded the envoys that, as the host of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, Ghana serves as the strategic gateway to a market of over 1.4 billion people.
