WASHINGTON - American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) President and CEO David Chavern made the following comment today on the Retirement Simplification and Clarity Act introduced by Senators Roger Marshall (R-KS) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY):
"Planning for retirement should be easier, not harder. The Retirement Simplification and Clarity Act will give workers and retirees clearer information and access to more options as they plan for their future. Annuities have a unique role to play because they are the only financial products that can guarantee income for life. This legislation will help more Americans understand that value and make the choices that are right for them."
