RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. - Today, VSP Vision™ announced their recognition as a 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces for Women™ by Great Place To Work® and Fortune magazine. A first-time honoree in the large category for companies with more than 1,000 employees, VSP Vision's selection reflects the organization's commitment to offering positive outcomes for women from the frontline to the C-Suite.
"This recognition is a powerful validation of women across our workforce who've shared they feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow," said VSP Vision Chief Human Resources Officer, Kristi Cappelletti-Matthews. "We're proud of the culture we strive to foster every day in support of employees - grounded in our values that promote care, trust, inclusion and teamwork."
One of the ways VSP Vision cultivates a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment is through the company's Women's Inclusion Network (WIN) Business Resource Group (BRG). With a programming mix of mentorship, professional development and storytelling, WIN creates pathways for growth, visibility, and influence, while reinforcing respect for women's voices and experiences across the organization.
Programs like the WIN BRG underscores the responses from VSP Vision employees who replied to the Great Places To Work Certified Companies survey. Results from the survey revealed that 95% of women at VSP Vision agreed that "People are treated fairly, regardless of their gender, a 3% increase from 2024. Eighty-seven percent of survey respondents supported the statement, "I am able to take time off work when it's necessary," a 7% jump from last year.
"Congratulations to the Fortune Best Workplaces for Women," says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. "These companies show that when women thrive in the workplace, everybody else does too. That's what it means to be a For All company, where the expectation is that every employee can have a great experience and reach their full potential."
To determine the Best Workplaces for Women, Great Place To Work analyzed the survey responses of nearly 605,000 women who work for Great Place To Work Certified™ companies that were eligible for the list. To be considered, a company must employ at least 50 women, have at least 20% of non-executive managers who are women, and have at least one female C-suite executive.
Last month, VSP Vision was recognized as a 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces in Health Care. It was the second-consecutive year VSP Vision was named to the list, earning 16th place, an increase of 13 spots from last year. This latest achievement reflects the results of VSP Vision's Great Place to Work survey in which 84% of employees at VSP Vision said it is a great place to work compared to 57% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company.
