Protecting European civic space in the digital age
FRA contributed to a panel at the 'Sandbox Conference: Protecting European Civic Space in the Digital Age'. The conference brought together human rights defenders, journalists, activists, legal experts, and digital security specialists.
The Belgrade Center for Security Policy (BCSP) organised the event in Tirana that ran from 26 to 28 May.
Supported by Stiftung Mercator, the conference served as a safe space for open dialogue on the growing digital threats facing civil society across the Western Balkans and the EU.
FRA spoke at the panel 'What Next? Advancing Protection of Rights in the Digital Age'. FRA focused on how the EU Strategy for Civil Society can be leveraged to increase protection.
