On Friday, September 26, the City's contractor (Wicks Construction) will have completed the southbound (westerly) side of the Hudson Road bridge and will switch traffic on Hudson Road, located just south of University Avenue, for the second phase of bridge repair work on the northbound (easterly) side of the bridge. Head-to-head traffic on Hudson Road will be shifted to the westerly half of the bridge so crews can start work on the easterly half of the bridge.
Traffic will be fully maintained and open in all directions on Hudson Road and University Avenue. Brookside Drive traffic will continue to be accessible by means of right-in and right-out onto Hudson Road during this construction. Full access for Brookside Drive will continue to be available at the Four Winds Drive intersection, directly south on Hudson Road. The westerly sidewalk will be opened for pedestrian crossing of the bridge. All work is anticipated to be complete by the end of October.
For safety's sake, please stay away from the construction area. Heavy equipment will be moving back and forth on the closed section of the bridge.
