BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Washington, September 18, 2026 - Accurant International today announced that it has completed the acquisition of 60Hertz Energy, a leading Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) provider serving generation assets and utility infrastructure. Following Accurant's earlier investment in 60Hertz, the acquisition reflects Accurant's confidence in the platform's ability to help keep generation assets and utility substations performing as the grid faces unprecedented demand growth.
60Hertz will continue to operate under its own brand, supporting its existing utility, developer, service company, and operator customers while gaining access to Accurant's utility expertise and broader ecosystem of energy and grid technology companies.
Expanding Accurant's Energy Technology Portfolio
Founded in 2017 in Anchorage, Alaska, by Piper Foster Wilder and cofounder Tonya James, 60Hertz began as a microgrid maintenance software company serving remote communities across Alaska, and Sub-Saharan Africa. The pair expanded the platform to support a wide range of generation assets including solar, battery storage, backup generation, and virtual power plants as well as utility substation maintenance, for organizations of any scale, from fleets of C&I solar sites to cooperatives managing a handful of sites to operators overseeing gigawatt-scale portfolios.
The 60Hertz platform provides utilities, developers, and asset operators with tools to manage maintenance activities across distributed generation, batteries and utility infrastructure. Its portfolio-level capabilities provide visibility into asset health and maintenance status across diverse fleets and geographies.
60Hertz's mobile-first, offline-capable platform pairs a web portal and designer with field tools that guide technicians through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, even in low-connectivity environments. The 60Hertz API integrates with numerous generation and substation hardware vendors, giving operators a unified network operations center from a laptop or mobile device. The platform's substation preventive maintenance tools help utilities standardize inspection schedules and safety protocols across transformers, switchgear, and other primary substation equipment.
Supporting Continued Growth
"60Hertz is a natural fit within Accurant's portfolio of companies focused on solving some of the most important challenges facing the energy industry," said Bahman Hoveida, CEO of Accurant International. "As generation becomes more distributed and the grid continues to evolve, asset owners and utilities need better tools to manage the growing complexity of their infrastructure. 60Hertz has built a strong platform and customer base, and we look forward to supporting the company as it continues to grow."
60Hertz founder Piper Foster Wilder added, "We built 60Hertz around the needs of asset owners and operators working in some of the most challenging environments in the energy industry. Accurant understands the importance of reliable infrastructure and brings deep experience across the utility and energy technology markets. We are confident that Accurant is the best possible long-term brand and home for our customers and our team."
This acquisition will support 60Hertz's growth by enabling further platform development, expanding its reach into new markets, and scaling its ability to serve utilities and generation asset operators globally as part of Accurant's broader portfolio of grid modernization technologies.
As part of Accurant, 60Hertz will continue investing in its platform, expanding its capabilities, and serving existing and new customers across utility and generation markets. The company will also have opportunities to leverage Accurant's broader network of energy technology companies and industry relationships. The acquisition further expands Accurant's portfolio of companies addressing critical areas of the evolving energy landscape, including grid modernization, grid intelligence, distributed energy resources, EV management, and generation asset management.
