Learn about rebates, careers and how to join the Clean PowerCity® movement
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - On September 23 and 25, SMUD will host two "Meet SMUD" events at the Stanford Settlement Neighborhood Center and the Folsom Cordova Community Partnership.
Attendees of the Meet SMUD events will learn about SMUD's 2030 Clean Energy Vision, Residential Assistance programs and energy-saving opportunities, including the Energy Assistance Program Rate (EAPR), Medical Equipment Discount and Energy Saver Bundles. Energy specialists will be available for one-on-one consultations to provide customized advice on reducing utility bills and implementing energy-efficient solutions.
Resource tables will also provide information on careers in clean energy and small business opportunities through SMUD's Supplier Education and Economic Development (SEED) program and ways to participate in the Clean PowerCity®movement. The first 100 attendees will receive SMUD swag bags containing energy-saving tools and educational materials.
"SMUD is committed to meeting people where they are, providing access to a wide range of resources and support from across our community while maintaining our low rates," said SMUD Chief Executive Officer & General Manager Paul Lau. "As we charge forward toward a zero-carbon future, we want everyone in our community to feel empowered to participate in this clean energy transition and benefit from the opportunities it brings."
