Flea Kicks Off First Solo Tour With The Honora Band

First Night's Setlist Included Live Debut of Nearly Every Song From Acclaimed New Album Honora, Unreleased Tracks & More

Sold-Out Dates Continue Across North America & Europe This Month, Followed by North Sea Jazz Festival & Newport Jazz Festival This Summer

May 8, 2026 - Last night at Chicago's Thalia Hall, Flea and the Honora band performed their first-ever live show, kicking off a sold-out tour that will bring them to intimate venues across North America and Europe this month. Featuring Flea on trumpet, bass and vocals, alongside an elite group of modern jazz visionaries - saxophonist and keyboardist Josh Johnson, guitarist Jeff Parker, bassist Anna Butterss, drummer Deantoni Parks- the set included the live debut of nearly every song from Flea's chart-topping new album, Honora, as well as two unreleased and previously unheard originals ("Good Night Darius" and "Shred of Hope"), all culminating in a stirring monologue and stunning audience singalong to "Lovelovelove" from his 2012 EP, Helen Burns.

"Songs encouraged reflection, rewarded close listening, and prioritized sincerity," says Chicago Tribune, continuing, "Watching Flea, routinely ranked among the finest rock bassists in history, challenge himself with a different kind of instrument and defer to his new peers seemed rather extraordinary. It showed a strain of boundless curiosity that guards against staleness, and was a reminder that we should never stop learning from others…an inspiring show from a student who just happens to be a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee. We should all aspire to be so bold." See last night's setlist below, and upcoming dates at flea333.com.

Honora , the album that Flea has aspired to make for the past 35 years, marks the generation-defining musician's first full-length solo LP, and first chart debut as a solo artist. Following its release on Nonesuch Records this spring, Honora arrived as the #1 new jazz album around the world, hailed as "a dynamic listening experience that documents the progressive skill and heart of a musical multi-tasker like no other," said the Los Angeles Times. "It's intuitive and inspiring."
