to the Commission
Rule 144
Hildegard Bentele (PPE)

NGOs were given until the end of 2025 to comply. While many organisations did so, 37 NGOs that did not comply were formally notified that their licences and work permits would be revoked as of 1 January 2026 and that they would have to complete the cessation of their activities by 1 March 2026. The Israeli authorities have stated that these measures are intended to ensure transparency and prevent the misuse of humanitarian frameworks by individuals with links to designated terrorist organisations.
