WASHINGTON, DC- Continuing its celebration of America's 250th birthday, the Institute of Museum and Library Services is now accepting applications to its Native Hawaiian Library Services Grant and Native American Library Services Enhancement Grant programs.

Native Hawaiian Library Services Grants are available to nonprofit organizations that primarily serve and represent Native Hawaiians. These competitive grants, awarded in amounts up to $150,000 for one to two years, are designed to develop, enhance, or disseminate practices, programs, models, tools, or staff training to strengthen library and archival services.
Native American Library Services Enhancement Grants advance the programs and services of eligible Native American Tribes, including Alaska Native villages, regional corporations, and village corporations. These competitive grants, awarded in amounts up to $150,000, are designed to develop, enhance, or disseminate practices, programs, models, tools, or library staff training to strengthen library and archival services for Federally recognized Tribes, including Alaska Native villages, regional corporations, and village corporations
