In EVs, they are essential for safely managing both low-voltage (infotainment, HVAC, lighting) and high-voltage systems (battery circuits, propulsion). Connectors ensure reliable attachment points between circuits, enabling seamless performance.
Electric vehicles use almost double the wiring compared to traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. This is because EVs require high-voltage circuits for batteries and propulsion in addition to low-voltage circuits for auxiliary systems. As a result, wiring harnesses directly influence vehicle safety, efficiency, and driving range.

High-voltage harnesses power the battery circuits and propulsion systems. While low-voltage harnesses still dominate today (70% share), high-voltage wiring is projected to grow significantly and eventually surpass low-voltage demand by 2031 as EV adoption scales.
