On April 14, in Brussels, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Andrius Kubilius, the European Union Commissioner for Defence and Space.
The interlocutors emphasized with satisfaction the active dynamics of the expanding the Armenia-EU partnership.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Andrius Kubilius exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in the fields of security and defence that have been developing recently. Both sides emphasized that the significant progress recorded by the Republic of Armenia in implementing democratic reforms, as well as the adoption of the strategic agenda for Armenia-EU partnership, have created a new vision and opportunities for cooperation.
The agenda of the high-level events to be held in Yerevan in May, including the Armenia-EU Summit, were also touched upon.
The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the EU Commissioner exchanged views on regional developments. Minister Mirzoyan presented the ongoing efforts aimed at the further institutionalization of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
