SAN ANTONIO - University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) President Thomas M. Evans, PhD was featured on the Radical Cooperation podcast, presented by The Community Solution Education System. The episode highlights UIW's leading role in establishing a groundbreaking partnership among Catholic universities aimed at redefining collaboration in higher education.
In this episode, Evans details the creation of the CHARISM alliance, which stands for the Catholic Higher Education Alliance for Research, Innovation, Sustainability and Mission. The alliance unites four mission-driven institutions across San Antonio, New York, Chicago and San Juan. It allows these distinctive institutions to build shared initiatives, maximize their collective resources and offer broader academic opportunities to their respective student bodies.
Evans explains how the alliance achieves its goals while fully preserving the independent heritage and identity of each campus. For UIW, this means remaining anchored to its foundational Mission, extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Word, while expanding its institutional reach through innovative, collaborative thinking.
"By working together under the CHARISM alliance, we are ensuring that Catholic higher education remains vibrant, sustainable and deeply impactful for generations of students to come," Evans shared during the broadcast.
The feature highlights a continuing trend of global and national leadership for UIW, which ranks as the largest Catholic university in Texas and remains committed to forging new paths for student success.
