CISAC President Björn Ulvaeus to bring creators’ voice to the United Nations’ AI for Good Global Summit

Paris, 29 June 2026 - CISAC President and ABBA co-founder Björn Ulvaeus will bring the voice of creators to the United Nations' AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, joining global leaders at one of the world's foremost forums shaping the future of artificial intelligence. Ulvaeus will give his keynote at 10:30 a.m. on 8 July 2026.

Organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the UN agency for digital technologies, and held in partnership with more than 50 UN agencies, AI for Good brings together global policymakers, technology leaders, researchers and civil society to explore how AI can benefit humanity and advance sustainable development.

Ulvaeus will speak at a pivotal moment for creators worldwide as generative AI transforms how creative works are made, used and montised. As President of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC), which represents more than five million creators through its network of 225 authors' societies across 110 countries and territories, he has become one of the leading international voices advocating for a future in which AI and human creativity develop together under conditions that ensure transparency, consent and fair remuneration.

His appearance at the summit follows a widely acclaimed keynote speech delivered at CISAC's centenary General Assembly in Paris in June, where he explored the relationship between human creativity and artificial intelligence. The address resonated around the world for its powerful defence of human creativity and its reminder that creative works are rooted in lived experience.

CISAC Director General Gadi Oron said: "It is vital that creators are represented in these conversations. As one of the world's most successful songwriters and President of CISAC, Björn brings with him the collective voice of millions of creators whose rights, livelihoods and cultural contributions must be respected in the AI era."
