On 19th October, the Consulate General in Mumbai and the India-China Friendship Association, Karnataka jointly held a photo exhibition in Bengaluru to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. Consul General Qin Jie delivered a keynote speech. Honorary President of ICFA Mr. Sindhia and Secretary General of ICFA, Karnataka Mr.Bhaskaran addressed the event. About 70 people from various sectors in Karnataka attended the event.
Mr. Qin said that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of China's war of resistance against Japanese aggression and the 75th anniversary of China-India diplomatic relations. China's War of Resistance was an important part of the world anti-fascist war. The Chinese people made a significant contribution to defending world peace at the cost of huge sacrifice. Dr. Kotnis from India gave his precious life to China's cause of the China's liberation and has become a monument of China-India friendship. Mankind has a shared future. Only by helping each other can countries safeguard common security. The Global Governance Initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping has injected precious positive energy into world peace and development.
Mr. Sindhia and Mr. Bhaskaran spoke about how China and India joined hands in national independence and development, and called on people from various sectors in India to view China in an objective manner and enhance cooperation with China in various fields.
