The track record built up operating Argentina's three nuclear power plants, together with the engineering projects delivered, has evolved into a business line aimed at overseas markets. Nucleoeléctrica currently provides services to operators in several countries, in work requiring a high degree of technical specialisation.
In Canada, the company supplies nuclear components, services and specialised technical assistance related to the operation and life extension of CANDU reactors.
In South Korea, it provides specialised technical assistance for single fuel channel replacement in the reactors at the Wolsong nuclear power plant.
In Brazil, it provides technical assistance on obsolescence management and specialised inspection services for the steam generators of the reactors at the Angra nuclear power plant.
In Romania, it has signed a technical assistance agreement for the life extension of the reactors at the Cernavodă nuclear power plant.
These capabilities were developed over more than five decades of operation and through highly complex projects, among them the life extension of the Embalse nuclear power plant. That project enabled Embalse to add thirty years of operation and consolidated technical expertise that Nucleoeléctrica is now taking to the international market.
