Milling and Resurfacing on I-84 Near Shadduck Road Overpass in Middlebury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I84 in Middlebury. This project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, November 10 and be completed on Friday, November 13, 2026. The project DOTNONPROJECT in Lieu of D#4-1226 consists of milling and resurfacing .11 miles west of overpass Shadduck Road westbound to .12 miles west of overpass Shadduck Road west bound. This project is scheduled to begin milling and paving by Waters Construction on Tuesday, November 10, 2026.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures of I84 from .11 miles west of overpass Shadduck Road westbound to .12 miles west of overpass Shadduck Road west bound in Middlebury. Sign patterns truck mounted attenuators will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Tuesday - Friday.
