Geosyntec's Nicholas Head and Brian Ares, along with SiREM's Brent Pautler, will speak at the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) Michigan Section 2026 Environmental Risk Management Workshop on June 16 through 17.
Nicholas is a Project Hydrogeologist based in Ontario with experience in vapor intrusion investigations and mitigation system design, installation, and monitoring. He has experience in laboratory-scale testing, analytical chemistry, engineering calculations, and data validation and management.
Brian is a Project Geologist based in Michigan with experience in impacted groundwater and vapor intrusion investigation and remediation and geochemical assessments of inorganic contaminant-impacted sites. He specializes in geochemical analysis and modeling of inorganic contaminant fate and transport and mineral-water interactions.
Brent is the Chemistry Services Manager at SiREM in Ontario. He brings more than 10 years of experience in spectroscopy, chromatography, mass spectrometry, passive sampling, and chemistry informatics. Throughout his career, Brent has worked with scientists, engineers, and consultants to help solve unique problems in the laboratory and the field.
The workshop brings environmental professionals together to explore how data, technology, and collaboration improve investigation, remediation, and redevelopment outcomes.
The AIPG Michigan Section is a regional chapter of the AIPG. It represents and supports geoscience professionals through advocacy, collaboration, and professional development opportunities in Michigan.
