Dentons has advised CVC DIF, the infrastructure strategy of leading global private markets manager CVC, on the agreement to divest Klara Renewables, a portfolio of six operational onshore wind farms in Poland, to Actis, a leading global sustainable infrastructure investor.
Klara Renewables' portfolio comprises operational wind assets across different Polish regions, with a combined installed capacity of 171 MW. The projects are backed by 15-year contracts for difference, and generate approximately 500 GWh of clean energy annually.
CVC DIF acquired all six projects at ready-to-build stage and successfully managed them through procurement, financing and construction into full operation.
A cross-border Dentons team advising on the transaction was led by partner Maciej Skoczyński, with partner Piotr Ciołkowski overseeing the energy and regulatory aspects and managing counsel Maciej Ziółkowski coordinating due diligence work stream.
