NEW ORLEANS - For the 19th consecutive year, Site Selection magazine has named Entergy a Top Utility in economic development.
The communities we serve continue to attract some of the nation's most competitive and power-intensive industries in the United States. In 2025, Louisiana helped secure $37.2 million in capital investments and create nearly 3,311 new jobs within Louisiana.
"Being recognized as a top utility in economic development is a testament to our commitment to powering growth and opportunity across the communities we serve," said Michelle Bourg, Entergy Louisiana vice president business and economic development. " By pairing reliable, affordable energy with strategic partnerships and thoughtful investment, we're helping communities compete for world-class projects while ensuring our customers benefit from the opportunities that growth brings. "
As industrial and data-intensive demand continues to grow nationwide, Entergy's Fair Share Plus framework ensures that large data centers pay the full incremental cost to serve their facilities - along with shared system-wide costs - helping maintain affordability, strengthen reliability and support community benefit programs. Fair Share Plus also reinforces system resilience in areas without current data-center development, ensuring customers across all regions benefit from responsible, customer-protective growth.
These projects also bolster state and local tax bases that fund schools, roads and public services, creating long-term benefits for families and communities.
Site Selection magazine assesses each utility's job-creating infrastructure and facility investment trends, innovative programs and incentives for businesses and website tools and data. You can view the magazine's profile of Entergy in the September 2026 print issue and online.
Customer investments
Customer investments across Entergy Louisiana's service area are bringing new opportunities in advanced manufacturing and technology. Hyundai Steel's planned $5.8 billion facility in Ascension Parish and Meta's data center in Richland Parish reflect the scale of that growth. Entergy Louisiana is making generation and grid investments to serve these projects and strengthen reliability for customers across the state. Through its Fair Share Plus pledge, the company expects large data center agreements to deliver more than $2.8 billion in customer savings over the next two decades, helping ensure Louisiana customers share in the benefits of economic growth.
