Happy 50th anniversary to the EU Delegation in Canada! 🇪🇺 🇨🇦
On 19 February 2026, we mark 50 years since the European Union Delegation to Canada opened its doors in Ottawa. To celebrate, our colleagues took to the ice on the iconic Rideau Canal, a true symbol of Ottawa.
Since 1976, the Delegation has served as a bridge between the European Union and Canada, advancing political dialogue, expanding trade and investment, supporting research and innovation, and working together on climate action and global challenges.
As we mark this 50th anniversary, we celebrate not only our history, but also the people, our values and friendship that unite the EU and Canada.
Thank you to all our colleagues, partners, and friends who have been part of this journey. We look ahead with confidence and ambition to the next 50 years.
