APG Companies has completed the $6.5 million sale of 1526 S. Brightleaf Boulevard in Smithfield, North Carolina, to a local private investor, concluding a nine-year investment in the property.
APG acquired the fully leased industrial property in June 2017 for $1.6 million. Located along the US Highway 301 corridor near I-95, the ±93,753-square-foot facility includes substantial covered storage, multiple dock-high and drive-in doors, and an adjacent fenced lay yard.
During APG's ownership, the property continued to serve as a well-positioned industrial asset in the growing Johnston County market.
"Brightleaf has been a strong investment for APG over the past nine years. Its location, industrial functionality and long-term utility made it an attractive acquisition for us in 2017 and continued to support the property throughout our ownership. We're pleased to complete the investment cycle with a successful sale to a local private investor."
- Daniel Walser, CCIM, Vice President of Acquisitions, APG Companies
The July 2026 disposition reflects APG's approach to commercial real estate investment: identifying well-positioned assets, managing them through changing market cycles and recognizing the appropriate time to transition ownership.
