State Route 24 (Sr-24) Caldecott Tunnel Overnight Closure Bores #1, 2 And 3

Alameda and Contra Costa Counties - Caltrans maintenance has scheduled overnight closures of Bores 1, 2 and 3 of the Caldecott Tunnel on State Route 24 (SR-24) for Plenum floor coring operations and routine tunnel maintenance. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

During the work, at least one bore in each direction will remain open. Please prepare to merge.

Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
