New Ways to Work with SPECS for Enterprise
Today, we're sharing new partnerships to enable SPECS AR glasses for enterprise, including new computing capabilities for field service, remote support, and retail. Together with Salesforce, Amazon Web Services (AWS), NVIDIA, Trifork, and Hololight, we're building new ways to help workers access information, get guidance, and collaborate while keeping their hands free and their head up.
In the 1980s, computers began to transform the way we work. Applications like word processing and advanced spreadsheets helped people get more done at their desks. However, most work does not happen at a desk. It happens on a store floor, inside a factory, and in the field, where people need their hands free, their eyes up, and the right information within reach.
SPECS AR glasses are a new kind of standalone computer that brings useful digital information and experiences into the world around you. For businesses, that means new ways to put information, guidance, collaboration, and tools directly into a worker's field of view, keeping their hands free and their attention on a customer, a repair, or the task at hand.
We're working with enterprise leaders to explore how SPECS AR glasses can support the workflows their customers and teams already rely on.
Salesforce is bringing Agentforce to SPECS. With Agentforce, employees can use SPECS to identify what they are looking at, create a case for an issue, surface relevant information, and update a workflow without needing to move back and forth between their natural workflow and a separate screen.
With AWS, we're working to connect SPECS to Amazon Quick, the AI assistant for work, allowing employees in any industry to access useful information while staying connected to their workflows. In retail for example, an associate could ask Quick via SPECS to see where a product is located, how many are in stock, and any other information required, with answers served directly into their field of view.
We're working with NVIDIA to bring agents built on the NVIDIA XR AI stack to SPECS, allowing SPECS to understand a worker's surroundings, access relevant company data, and provide guidance in real time.
SPECS and NVIDIA partners are already exploring how these AI capabilities can support different kinds of work.
Tandem by Trifork connects onsite technicians with remote experts and AI agents anywhere in the world. Experts can see what the technician sees, help identify components, and add visual annotations directly in the technician's view to guide the work, while the technician remains hands-free.
And Hololight turns SPECS into a spatial workstation, using video streaming to give employees access to tools, documents, and 3D models wherever their work takes them.
For businesses, introducing a new computing platform requires more than compelling experiences. Organizations also need the tools to deploy, secure, and manage technology across their teams.
That's why we're working closely with device management vendors to build the capabilities they need to manage SPECS at scale, including mobile device management and security controls.
These early partnerships demonstrate some of the ways SPECS can bring computing into the places where work actually happens.
And we're just getting started. We see significant potential for SPECS to help businesses bring computing beyond traditional screens and into the work happening around them.
