Chinese Embassy in Barbados Holds a Reception to Celebrate the 76th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China

On September 25, the Chinese Embassy in Barbados held a reception to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Barbadian President Dame Sandra Mason, Acting Prime Minister William Duguid, together with ministers, members of the parliament, government officials, representatives from diplomatic corps, friends from various sectors, and representatives of the Chinese community in Barbados, nearly 350 people in total, attended the reception.

In his speech, Ambassador Zheng Bingkai introduced the achievements of China's economic and social development under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and emphasized China's willingness to work with Barbados to further elevate China-Barbados relations to a new height.

Acting Prime Minister William Duguid, on behalf of the Barbadian government and people, extended greetings to President Xi Jinping and the Chinese people. He reaffirmed that Barbados firmly adheres to the one-China principle, highly praised the achievements of Barbados-China cooperation in various fields, and expressed his willingness to work with China to deepen the friendly relations between the two countries.

The reception was held in a warm and festive atmosphere. Guests enjoyed the performances brought by the Henan Acrobatic Troupe, and people from all walks of life extended their congratulations on China's National Day and praised China's development achievements.
