CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Oct. 30, 2025) - There will be temporary lane closures in numerous locations around the county from Oct. 30 to Nov. 24 while workers perform tree trimming and spread mulch in road medians. All work to occur between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
The work will be performed on the following dates in the locations indicated:
Oct. 30-31: Pruning
Harbor Boulevard from U.S. 41 to Midway Boulevard
Nov. 3-7: Mulching
U.S. 41 Medians from Sarasota County Line to Peace River Bridge
State Road (S.R.) 776 from U.S. 41 to Murdock Circle
Toledo Blade Boulevard from U.S. 41 to Hillsborough Boulevard
Murdock Circle from Veterans Boulevard to S.R. 776
Nov. 10-13: Mulching/Pruning
Edgewater Boulevard from Harbor Boulevard to Midway Boulevard
Nov. 11-14: Mulching/Pruning
Midway Boulevard from Elkcam Boulevard to Harbor Boulevard
Harbor Boulevard from U.S. 41 to Olean Boulevard
Veterans Boulevard from U.S. 41 to Peachland Boulevard
Nov. 17-19: Mulching
S.R. 776 from U.S. 41 to Enterprise Drive
Winchester Boulevard from S.R. 776 to Placida Road
Beach Road from S.R.776 to Gulf Boulevard
Rotonda Boulevard East from Parade Circle to Gasparilla Road
Rotonda Boulevard North from Parade Circle to S.R. 776
Rotonda Boulevard West from Parade Circle to Placida Road
Nov. 20-24: Mulching
U.S. 41 from Tuckers Grade to Oil Well Road
Tuckers Grade from Interstate 75 to U.S. 41
Jones Loop Road from Piper Road to U.S. 41
The Public Works Department reminds motorists to remain alert at all times and to exercise caution when traveling in the vicinity of construction zones.
