Downtown Vista is more than a business district- it's a gathering place where residents and visitors come together to enjoy local culture, entertainment, dining, and community events. Whether you're attending fright Night, celebrating the holidays at Cowboy Christmas, exploring the KPOP Anime Festival, or enjoying a performance at the AVO Playhouse, many of the experiences that make Downtown Vista unique are supported through the Central Vista Business Improvement District (CVBID) Grant Program.
The CVBID was established to strengthen Downtown Vista by supporting local businesses and creating a vibrant destination for shopping, dining, arts, and entertainment. Funded through an annual assessment paid by businesses within the district, the program generates approximately $50,000 each year, with most of those funds reinvested through grants that support public events, programs, and improvements downtown.
Organizations, nonprofits, businesses, and community groups may apply for grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 for events and programs held within Downtown Vista. Funding can help cover eligible expenses such as marketing, permits, equipment rentals, staging, street closures, and security. Projects are selected based on their ability to attract visitors, support local businesses, and enhance the downtown experience.
From festivals and concerts to cultural celebrations and community gatherings, the CVBID Grant Program helps transform creative ideas into memorable experiences that bring people together while strengthening the local economy.
