MILWAUKEE - Marquette University and the Wisconsin Adaptive Sports Association will co-host a "Try It" event for individuals of all abilities to try different adaptive sports on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Wellness + Helfaer Recreation facility.
"Try It" events are open to the public and allow participants to try four adaptive sports: wheelchair rugby, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair lacrosse and adaptive pickleball, while learning about WASA's mission to promote access, inclusion and lifelong health through adaptive sports.
Staff from WASA, members of Marquette's Adaptive Abilities Club and participants will be available for interview.
