Detroit Auto Show to Host Signature Fireside Chat with U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno and John Bozzella at Mobility Global Forum

The 2026 Detroit Auto Show will spotlight a high-profile conversation at the intersection of automotive innovation, public policy, and the future of mobility with a signature fireside chat featuring U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) and John Bozzella, President and CEO of the Alliance for Automotive Innovation, on Thursday, January 15, as part of the show's Mobility Global Forum.

The fireside chat will take place from 12:20 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the Detroit Auto Show's main floor stage and will be introduced and moderated by Chrissy Taylor, senior vice president of editorial at Automotive News.

The conversation will explore the most pressing issues shaping the future of the auto industry. With experience spanning both the showroom floor and Capitol Hill, Senator Moreno brings a perspective rooted in firsthand knowledge of the retail automotive business alongside his current role in federal policymaking.

"The Mobility Global Forum is about creating real access to the conversations that are shaping where this industry is headed," said Sam Klemet, Executive Director of the Detroit Auto Show. "Senator Moreno's background as an auto dealer gives him a practical understanding of this business that resonates in Detroit. Pairing that perspective with John Bozzella's industry leadership-and bringing it to the stage with Automotive News-underscores why this city remains the place where the auto world comes together to talk about what's next."

Held during the Detroit Auto Show's media and industry days on January 14 and 15, the Mobility Global Forum convenes leaders from across automotive, technology, policy, and culture for focused, timely discussions on innovation, talent, and the future of mobility.

The fireside chat with Bozzella and Moreno will serve as a cornerstone moment within the Forum's 2026 programming.

The 2026 Detroit Auto Show returns to Huntington Place January 14-25, continuing its evolution as a global platform that blends automotive innovation, culture, and community.
