Applications open for fall NMDSI Center of Excellence Student Research Scholars Program

Applications are now open for the fall cohort of the Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute's Center of Excellence Student Research Scholars Program.

Launched in fall 2023, the Student Research Scholars Program supports student-led research and innovation term-based projects across the NMDSI's partner institutions. Each award is meant to accelerate a robust ecosystem of student researchers gaining practical experience working on interdisciplinary projects at their home campuses.

The recently refreshed Center of Excellence focus areas include:

  • AI Excellence: Applied and Novel AI
  • Talent Forward: Future-ready workforce
  • AI Readiness: Economic vitality and financial security
  • With Responsible AI and Data (Ethics, Bias and Equity) as a cross-cutting foundation

Applications are due Sunday, July 12. Award nominations are anticipated in mid-August. Apply online.
