ABU 62nd General Assembly ready for Mongolia

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union today welcomes members and partners from across the world to its 62nd General Assembly and Associated Meetings, taking place from 11 to 15 September 2025 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The Mongolian National Broadcaster is hosting this landmark event, which brings together media leaders, industry experts, and innovators for five days of meaningful dialogue and collaboration. This year's General Assembly centres on the theme "The Role of Media in Safeguarding National and Cultural Heritage," addressing one of the most pressing concerns facing media organisations today.

Participants will explore how broadcasters and media companies can actively contribute to preserving the rich cultural identities, traditional values, and historical heritage of nations across Asia and the Pacific. The programme features meetings and discussions designed to examine practical approaches to cultural preservation through media content and programming strategies.

Beyond the sessions, this year's Assembly provides valuable networking opportunities for ABU members to forge new partnerships and strengthen existing relationships within the regional broadcasting landscape. The event offers members the chance to discover innovative solutions, share best practices, and develop collaborative initiatives that can benefit their respective organisations and audiences.
