Amazon is offering Prime members in the US exclusive early access to Project Hail Maryscreenings on March 16, four days before the film's nationwide release. From February 20, members can purchase tickets through Fandango for 7 p.m. (local time) showings in formats including IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and 70MM. Based on Andy Weir's bestselling novel, the film stars Ryan Gosling as astronaut Ryland Grace, who awakens millions of miles from Earth with no memory of his mission. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the sci-fi thriller follows Grace's desperate attempt to save humanity using scientific ingenuity.
Amazon.com has reported fourth quarter 2025 net sales of $213.4 billion (up 14% year-over-year) and full-year 2025 net sales of $716.9 billion (up 12%), with AWS growing 24% to $35.6 billion in Q4-the fastest growth in 13 quarters-while advertising grew 22% and custom chips (Trainium and Graviton) reached a combined $10 billion annual revenue run rate growing at triple-digit percentages. The company plans to invest approximately $200 billion in capital expenditures in 2026, driven by strong demand for AI, chips, robotics, and low Earth orbit satellites, with CEO Andy Jassy emphasizing continued rapid innovation and customer problem-solving across AWS, advertising, stores, and emerging technologies. Amazon delivered at record speeds for Prime members in 2025, with same-day deliveries nearly doubling in rural areas and Rufus (the AI shopping assistant) generating nearly $12 billion in incremental annualized sales after being used by 300 million+ customers.
Alexa+, Amazon's next-generation AI assistant powered by generative AI from Amazon Nova and Anthropic, is available to all U.S. customers for $19.99 per month and included at no additional cost for Prime members. A new free tier allows non-Prime members to try the experience via Alexa.com and the Alexa app. After tens of millions of customers joined the Early Access program, Alexa+ has proven to be significantly more capable than the original Alexa-customers are having deeper, more complex conversations, interacting more than twice as much, and using new agentic capabilities to complete tasks like ordering takeout, making booking reservations, automating homes, and getting homework help. Alexa+ is accessible on Alexa-enabled devices, Alexa.com, and the Alexa app, and will continue to become even smarter, faster, and more capable over time.
