San Antonio attorney Steve Chiscano selected chair-elect of State Bar of Texas Board of Directors

BOERNE - Steve Chiscano was selected chair-elect of the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors during the board's quarterly meeting today in Boerne. Chiscano, a shareholder in Chiscano Hossa & Calve in San Antonio, will take office in June and serve as chair until June 2027.

Chiscano is a State Bar director representing District 10, Place 1. He is a sustaining life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a past president of the San Antonio Bar Association. Additionally, Chiscano is a former chair of the San Antonio Bar Foundation and a past president of the Law Alumni Association of St. Mary's University School of Law. He has served in leadership positions with numerous other San Antonio civic and philanthropic organizations.

After receiving his Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary's in 1997, Chiscano began his legal career as an intern to Justice John Cornyn at the Supreme Court of Texas. He entered private practice in 1999 and is a former shareholder at Davis, Cedillo & Mendoza and a co-founding member of Gonzales Chiscano Angulo & Kasson.

Among other accolades, Chiscano has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer and a Texas Rising Star by Texas Monthly, as a top San Antonio attorney in civil litigation by San Antonio Magazine, as a Forty Under 40 Rising Star by the San Antonio Business Journal, and as one of The Best Lawyers in America in the field of commercial litigation by Best Lawyers.
