City and Republic Services Announces Fall Street Sweeping Schedule

The City of Fairfield's fall street sweeping schedule will be in effect from November 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026. To help manage the heavy leaf fall during this season, all residential streets will be swept twice per month instead of the usual once per month.

What does this mean for residents? For most residents, sweeping will now occur every other week. For example, if your street is normally swept on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, it will now be swept on both the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. However, due to certain routes being impacted by the holidays, we encourage all residents to find their exact sweeping days by viewing the interactive schedule map at https://www.fairfield.ca.gov/sweep.

How can you help? To ensure our crews can clean your street thoroughly, please move all vehicles off the roadway. Parked cars impede the street sweepers, which leave large sections of the curb and gutter uncleaned. Additionally, please place your yard waste in your green waste bin and avoid blowing or raking leaves into the street. Piles of leaves can clog the sweeper's equipment and may prevent the service from being completed.
