Gassco – Kalstø and Kårstø – management of pipeline integrity and emergency preparedness

The audit was conducted on 18 and 19 February 2026.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to ensure that Gassco, as the operator of the pipelines between Kalstø and Kårstø, is following up integrity and emergency preparedness. We also verified that Gassco's procedures for integrity and emergency preparedness are in line with the company's requirements and applicable regulations.

Result

The audit identified two non-conformities in the following areas:

  • Emergency response analysis for Kalstø
  • Signage and marking in the outdoor area at Kalstø

In addition, we observed two factors that we have chosen to categorise as improvement points. These concerned:

  • Emergency response training and drills at Kalstø and peripheral facilities
  • Emergency lighting on walkways and roadways at Kalstø

What happens now?

We have asked Gassco to report to us by 20 April 2026 on how the non-conformities will be addressed, and for their assessment of the improvement points observed.
