Tim Woolley will lead the City of Taylor for the next four years after winning the race for mayor on Tuesday, November 4.
Woolley won his second straight four-year mayoral term with over 76 percent of the vote to challenger Herman "Butch" Ramik's 23 percent. Woolley had 6,832 votes to Ramik's 2,039
All results are unofficial before being certified.
Other local winners included Clerk Cindy Bower, who was running unopposed and received 98 percent of the vote. Bower earned 7,023 votes to win her fourth consecutive term. In a highly competitve race for treasurer, Nicone Dragone (4,452 votes, 51.02 percent) defeated Amira Garza (4,233 votes, 48.51 percent).
All of these positions are four-year terms.
The new City Council will include Charley Johnson (5,747), Ronald Thiede (5,055), Christian Armstrong (4,790), Dan Wallace (4,784), Gerald Thomas (4,726), William Patts (4,170) and Chris Clark (4,118). The next closest finisher was Richard Pratt (3,849).
The win by Johnson will mark his fourth straight term.
According to the official results, the election drew 9,154 or 18,43 percent of the registered voters in Taylor.
