Bangor International Airport Announces New United Airlines Flights to Denver

January 16, 2026

Bangor, ME (Jan. 16, 2025) - Bangor International Airport (BGR) announced new seasonal nonstop service to Denver International Airport (DEN) on United Airlines, marking the farthest west nonstop passenger destination in the airport's history.

The new Denver service will operate on Saturdays from June 27 through September 5, offering travelers direct access to one of the nation's largest airline hubs and expanding connectivity to the western United States and beyond.

In conjunction with the launch of service to Denver, United Airlines will up-gauge its Chicago O'Hare (ORD) flights to a Boeing 737 on the same days the Denver flight operates, increasing seat capacity in response to strong summer travel demand.

"This new Denver route represents a historic milestone for Bangor International Airport," said BGR Director Jose Saavedra. "Denver will be the farthest west nonstop destination ever served from Bangor, significantly expanding our reach and strengthening our connectivity to the western United States. We appreciate United Airlines' partnership in bringing this service to our community, which creates new opportunities for both leisure and business travel and reflects the continued demand for expanded air service from our region."

"We're excited to bring nonstop service between Bangor and Denver this summer," said Mark Weithofer, United's Managing Director of Domestic Network Planning. "This new route opens up connectivity between the two regions and provides customers in Denver and the west with greater access to the Acadia National Park and Maine's natural beauty."

Prior airline service from BGR has primarily focused on eastern and central U.S. cities, with no previous scheduled passenger flights extending this far west on a nonstop basis.

Denver International Airport, a key United Airlines hub, offers a wide range of connections to destinations throughout the western United States, as well as international markets, further enhancing travel options for passengers flying from Bangor.
