Published April 8 2026

To celebrate Earth Day, the City of Bellevue will host its third annual EarthFest at the Bellevue Botanical Garden on Saturday, April 18, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Join us for a day of family-friendly, interactive festivities, including creative, nature-based activities, a scavenger hunt, live music and resources to help you go green.

Learn what the city is doing to advance sustainability and environmental stewardship and how you can get involved! This event is free and open to the public. Arrive at any time throughout the event. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase at the Copper Kettle Coffee Bar inside the Botanical Garden. Registration is not required.

Talk to experts about home electrification, sustainable transportation and more at EarthFest's sustainability resource fair. Other featured activities include recycled arts booths, an electric lawn equipment demonstration and ecosystem-friendly gardening resources. The Northwest Perennial Alliance will also host a plant sale at the event.

The city's Sustainable Bellevue team held the first annual EarthFest celebration in 2024, in partnership with the Bellevue Botanical Garden. Over 2,000 people attended the 2025 event.

In addition to EarthFest, the city is also hosting several other events in honor of Earth Day. The Parks & Community Services Department is holding a volunteer restoration event at Wilburton Hill Park the morning of Saturday, April 18. For more information, visit Stewardship Saturdays.

Other featured Earth Day activities this month include two citywide signature street cleanup events through the Keep Bellevue Beautiful program. The West Side Cleanup will take place on Saturday, April 11 and the East Side Cleanup will occur on Saturday, April 25. Both will happen rain or shine, 9-11 a.m. For more information, visit Keep Bellevue Beautiful.

All who live, work and play in Bellevue are welcome at all the city's Earth Day events. In accordance with the spirit of Earth Day, attendees are encouraged to use sustainable transportation options such as the newly opened Crosslake Connection of Sound Transit's 2 Line light rail, as well as bus routes, BellHop or bicycles.
