Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has won three major awards at the annual Asia Legal Awards, reflecting the strength and diversity of its Asia practice.
Hosted by Law.com International, the awards recognises the most significant transactions, cases, and legal work that have shaped the industry across Asia.
Norton Rose Fulbright was named "Insurance Firm of the Year" in recognition of its work in advising international insurers on M&A, licensing, regulatory compliance, and InsurTech work in the region and internationally. Anna Tipping leads Norton Rose Fulbright's insurance team in Asia Pacific.
Norton Rose Fulbright's ship finance team won "Securities Deal of the Year: Debt" for advising Yinson Production on the US$1 billion project bond to refinance FPSO Anna Nery. This is the world's largest and longest-dated FPSO project bond issued to date and also sets a new record for the longest-dated structured finance bond in Brazil's history. The firm's deal team was led by a cross-border team of partners including Ben Rose, Head of Shipping and Offshore in Asia.
Ben Rose was also named "Transport Lawyer of the Year" for his work over the past year in advising a range of clients on some of the largest and most significant deals in the sector.
The firm was also shortlisted in six other categories including M&A Deal of the Year, Finance Deal of the Year, ESG Deal of the Year (for two separate deals), FinTech and Digital Assets Firm of the Year, and Fintech and Digital Assets Lawyer of the Year.
