Milling and Resurfacing on Route 4 in Farmington

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 4 in Farmington. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, August 2 and be completed on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The project 0174-0488CN "C" consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.16-mile segment of Route 4 in Farmington from Route 177 to Monteith Drive. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Black and Boucher on Sunday, August 2 to Monday, August 3, 2026. The resurfacing segment of this project by Galasso Materials is anticipated to begin on Sunday, August 9 to Thursday, August 13, 2026.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 4 from Route 177 to Monteith Drive in Farmington. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday- Thursday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
